Spinal Decompression
Spinal decompression has been used to treat various back and lumbar conditions, such as:
Disc decompression works by using focused traction and a gently pumping action to the spinal discs, which causes a release of pressure to the nerves that cause lower back and neck pain. Decompression also allows fluids and nutrients to move in and out of the discs at a faster pace, thereby speeding up healing.
In a typical decompression treatment, the patient lays face-up on the decompression table. A comfortable bolster is placed under the knees, and support pillow under the neck to the patient’s comfort level. The computer begins a slow pull that gradually increases up to the pre-set treatment weight and targeted disc level. Most patients relax completely, and some even fall asleep during the treatment.
